Eat happens if u fail the press up test
Depends and what you are applying for,and what stage of the selection process you've reached.
Press ups, sit ups and a 1.5 MILE run in under 10 minutes are the BASIC requirements for ALL soldiers not specialist like Para's and not limited to Officers.
This test is also done every year and you have to PASS it every year.
If you fail it at selection you don't get in simple as that. You are UNFIT in every sense of the word.
Depends which part of the Army you are trying to get into.
If you are fit, it should be no problem.
Drat, of course you are under 20, and don't cycle everywhere, and lift things on a daily basis, as me and a friend did.
He was on about when he got into his Regiment (he was never as fit as me, or quite the long distance stamina I had) and some of the tricks the Assessors played, but he sailed through it anyway.
Which Regiment did he join, SAS, but then he was always was a bit of a softy.
No he didn't do any special training or fitness to get in, he was fit to start with.
You've got to be the right stuff, get training, drop and give me 50 soldier!
I heard its only paras and officers needing to do the test
