The police will not have arrested 'anyone' unless there was a 'strong suspicion' of wrongdoing....as too whether 'they' are taken to court is another matter....not being taken to court is 'not an acquittal' - its whether the evidence is provable in court or not.!!
The intimidating celeb power time warp in those early years was one of whether victims would be believed or not - and if any minor was 'consenting'....that does not 'excuse' the crime that was committed by an 'adult' against that minor.....the early celeb years of....Drugs/Sex/Rock-an-Roll does not excuse their actions....they 'all' thought they had got away with it - but its all come back too haunt everyone of them....many more will follow.

So if them and more celebrities have had to pay for sex it is a myth that women do throw themselves at celebrities

My Cousin was making the point about modern day pop stars a few years down.the line are they going to have charges made against them.? Its really a question of one persons word against another.I am sure some older women do try it on.
Personally I don't anything will happen unless there is physical evidence, its going to take millions to get these people into court and luckily you can't convict on rumours, attitudes were a lot different in the 70s and many seen to be motivated by the thought of easy money.

Also, at this stage, he is only being investigated. Arrested does not mean that he is believed to have done anything. it means he is under caution that he has been accused of something.
