Is this actually true or is it just bullcrap?

It does not appear to be true. He has never been captured, and would be 83 today.

Wikipedia cannot be trusted. Anybody can be a contributor, and there no final evaluations for accuracy. Most colleges and universities do not allow Wikipedia as a source for their students' research papers.

Also, according to a documentary I saw last year, Anglin and his the other two were still listed as 'at large'.

It is now known (or, at least alleged) that those Alcatraz escapees were picked up by a motorboat during their swim away from The Rock. Coast Guard records stated that a power boat without running lights did exit the Golden Gate on the night of the escape. Also, a month later, one of the guards on that cell block received a blank postcard from Brazil. That country does NOT have an extradition treaty with the United States! If Anglin is still alive, then he is in Brazil.

I don't think so, Wikipedia is an untrustable website and people can change text off of the website to their hearts content. All I can say is, do some research!

...sounds like "stuff" that comes out of the National Inquire !

It says that John Anglin's status is "In prison June 21, 2013 [citation needed]"

Is this the truth was he really actually caught after all these years?

And yes I am talking about one of the Alcatraz escapees who escaped from there in 1962.
