Have they FOUND the missing Malaysian (Flight 370) airplane?

I am curious about the latest Media-buzz about the Malaysian Airline Flight 370.

What's the latest update?

No it has not been found. Search planes have located POSSIBLE debris but from the air they can not actually tell you what they spotted. They have a general idea on where to search but from what I understand the search area is close to the size of the state of Alaska. In the next few days ships are suppose to arrive in the area to begin a "ground' search close to where the planes spotted debris floating.

A lot of theories have been put forward as to the fate of this aircraft, but the one of a possible sudden loss of cabin pressure, that would render people unconscious, leading to death is not credible, due to an automatic release of overhead oxygen masks dropping down, thereby alerting passengers/flight stewards that something was amiss.---Couple that to an accompanied loud audio/visual alarm in the cockpit, would have the two pilots springing into action to rectify the situation.---If it proved that they couldn't fix the problem within minutes, they would immediately descend to an altitude of 9 to 10,000 feet for the safety of all on board.---We cannot presume of any untoward actions by the two pilots, as ours is not to judge, but to await the official reason as to what actually transpired, providing of course they can locate the plane at all.---My thoughts and prayers go out to all the relatives of the 239 people on board, and sincerely hope that they may find closure in the coming days ahead.......

There has been no wreckage discovered so no. Basically the announcement was based off of circumstantial evidence, not empirical. For all the world knows the official announcement could be one big farce just to get some breathing room.

They hope the plane is in the designated area(about a 1000 miles, West of Perth), we won't know for sure until April 5th(when the first ships are expected to reach the area).

"Media-buzz?" It's not a scene from a Hollywood movie, 239 lives have been lost and many more than that have been affected by this loss.

They now can pinpoint the flightpath from satellite data so they know generally where it went down. They are searching the area for debris.
