You would not have gone to "war" anyway. War is not declared for a puny little thing like Syria. A mighty power like America would never lose against anyone,let alone a tiny middle eastern state like Syria.
I think the fact that Russia and China had an interest in the area concentrated minds wonderfully and is why Congress would most likely have voted against any military action ? This could be why Obama clutched at Putins plan ?
Russia and China will support Syria....so the USA will be in big trouble if they attack Syria without UN approval....this time round...America should not try to go it alone because they can not win and it could be a war that will end all wars!!
but don't worry...Russia is trying to reach an agreement so that everyone is happy!
interesting, and yeah there will be a world war III (a declared world war III) sometime soon probably but don't know if that will start it (i mean the Syrian war) and to be honest i think world war III has been going on for a while now but without anyone actually declaring it internationally, just take a look at recent or current events in brazil, turkey, egypt, gaza, syria, pakistan, afghanistan, iraq, etc. and drones are not really helping they are just keeping things quite. but that's why there are people like Snowden who put some cards on the table. the world is under a lot of pressure it just seems like everyone is sick and tired of seeing each others faces, i mean people are just becoming more and moreincautiouss about humanity and how God is watching everything.

I'm not too sure, so correct me if I'm wrong, but if we go to war in syria, doesn't that mean russia and china will get involved in the war? and if this is true, do you think americans will loose the war?
