Should the US have bombed Afghanistan?

I need multiple answers, I have to argue the pros and cons of Operation Enduring Freedom. Why was it a good idea.. why was it a bad idea.. etc,

No, it did no good whatsoever. The Soviets already showed how to waste lives and money by going into Afghanistan in 1979 or so.

The Taliban overthrew the elected government of Afghanistan.

The Taliban forced Afghanistan's farmers to grow opium for them...or else. As a result, Afghanistan is the world's largest source of opium - with all the money going to the Taliban so they can fund other terrorist activities around the world. This includes Al Qaeda and the 9/11 attacks.

The Taliban had been harboring Al Qaeda for years prior to 9/11, and refused to turn them over to the US after 9/11.

The problem is, Bush then included Iraq in Operation Enduring Freedom even though Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 or Al Qaeda. Bush made Iraq the top priority, causing the operation in Afghanistan to stall for several years due to a lack of resources. So it's easy to say the war has been an overall failure, but only because of the idiots in Washington.

No! After 9/11 our Country should have gone to the region in the mountains above Afghanistan, in the lawless region and found osama bin laden, not to bomb this country or Iraq.

Look at it this way.

If you were walking down the street in some city of your beautiful state in California and looked up to see a gaggle of Afghan bombers, a swarm of Afghan missiles and a whole herd of Afghan artillery shells headed your way that killed, maned and shredded your entire family, should they have?

If you lived in a mud dwelling your old grandfather made with his bare hands, with no running water, and tended a few emancipated cattle whose dung polluted the only well nearby would you want to be bombed on top of those conditions?

If you earned $1000 per year or less, didn't read or write because education doesn't feed your family, and didn't understand why a country 12000 miles away wanted to kill you for a made up reason to justify taking control of oil pipelines that ran through your country, would you want to be bombed?

This is reality, not the one you are constantly "bombarded" by a media controlled by 5 major corporations that are dependant on bankers greed for profit over human life.

Al Qaeda trained in Afghanistan and they wouldn't apprehend Mullah Omar and bin Laden and turn them over to us.

We told them what we were going to do if they didn't cooperate.

Taliban is extremely mean. They cut off people's noses and don't want the girls to go to school.

We told Pakistan we wanted their cooperation. At least they wanted to work with us to an extent.

After Pearl Harbor, no nation dared to attack the United States on our territory.

9/11 was unjustified; The US was interested in stopping spectacular terrorist attacks.

Any nation that harbors terrorists that have attacked us are subject to offensive actions that eliminate or reduce the threat.

US should have bombed regions of Pakistan too to finish the Taliban crap once and for all.
