Deaths by alchahol. deaths by drugs?

Alcohol, tobacco and heroin are the biggest killers, the latter 2 being drugs and although ecstasy, cannabis and speed are considerably less dangerous, they are illegal, as a person who has experimented with most things other than heroin i would say alcohol is far worse, you don't see people junked up on cannabis sticking broken bottles in peoples faces or rioting in the streets but it has become so ingrained in our society people have become accustomed to its negative societal effects, although i wouldn't ban it, i would just ban the advertising of it and increase awareness, i would legalize all drugs too as most drug deaths are caused by poor quality drugs created by some back street chemist and cut with god knows what, parents may think banning drugs will keep their kids safe but the opposite is true, also, drug sales fund many a terrorist group because they don't need to go through the official channels

Alcohol is a narcotic just like heroin, cocaine or dope, the distinction is made for convention only.

Injected heroin is less physically dangerous than drinking a pint of beer, tell a drinker this and they will go into deep denial however accurate this fact is.

Deaths directly from alcohol (60000 a year in the UK) are deaths from drugs!

Drugs wins by a mile. They never yell you about the tens of thousands who die every year from the side effects of prescription drugs. Listen to the prescription drug ads on TV and notice how so many of them now have side effects like heart failure, stroke cancer and other possibly fatal conditions.

Apparently sugar's the biggest killer, outnumbering alcohol and drugs.

both. i think drugs is far worse!
