Absolutely not! Read the history of Gaza and Israel. Israel could have taken over the Gaza strip at any time, but in deference to peace in the Middle East, they have left it alone, much to their sorrow. The Palestinian Liberation Organization has used the Gaza as a way to get a ton of money from the United States. They will remain quiet as long as the money keeps flowing in each year. When they decide they want more, they start shooting rockets into Israel. Israel gets upset and wants to stop the nonsense by invading the Gaza strip and taking out all the idiots who shoot rockets at them, but the U.S. always intervenes and sends millions of millions more to the Gaza area held by the Palestinians. Thereby peace is attained essentially by blackmail. {The same thing we do to keep the peace the two Koreas.} If Israel, as before, invades Gaza and takes all the territory, they give it right back to the same idiots who will eventually bomb them for more money from the U. S. It's like a carnival ride where the boat swing, loaded with people, swings one direction, then back to the other and it goes higher and higher until someone hits the switch and it slows down to a stop and everyone gets off. Then the next riders get on board and whoopee, here we go through the same routine. I say let the United States and the United Nations leave Israel alone. Quit trying to stop them from adjusting the balance of peace, let things work out for themselves.
Israel IS the power over Gaza. They control everything that happens inside and outside. They decide how much water and electricity to send, and what goods should be delivered in. Everything has to be inspected in Israel first. Gazans cannot leave Gaza without special documents. When they are hit by missiles, they have no bomb shelters. Israel patrols Gaza 24/7 by sea, land and air. Even though the Jewish settlers left in 2005 Israel controls the area.

Israel already has complete power over Gaza, and the people of Gaza have nowhere to escape to. Unlike people in other countries who can flee when they are being attacked, the Palestinians in Gaza are trapped by the Israelis and cannot escape to anywhere safe.
The bombing of Gaza is a gradual genocide.

No, "Israel" will attack Gaza only for as long as it takes to stop Gaza militants from attacking Israeli civilians. That's the Israeli military's job; to protect civilians.
