I've have always believed this is what happened. Casey was using chloroform as a baby sitter, so to speak.... knowing it was dangerous, and could be lethal, but she risked it anyway, knowing it could possibly kill her daughter. She partied for 30 days, before she told the story to her mother that Caylee was missing. Who can party knowing their child is dead? This proves she didn't care at all about her little girl. The police proved that for the 30 days Casey was partying, she knew all that time that Caylee was already dead. Several people, including her parents, said Casey's car smelled of a decomposing body. They found some hair and DNA in Casey's trunk that matched up to Caylee.This proves that Casey had Caylee in that trunk, deceased, for who knows how long. She should have gotten the death penalty.

I agree with your theory. I don't think she actually loved her daughter. Why drug her rather than let her mother babysit? Why put tape over a child's mouth, if you love her? Why get a tattoo that says "the beautiful life" a few days after her child's death? (I think that's what the tattoo said) How could you get drunk and party right after your child dies? Didn't her boyfriend at the time not want Caylee in his apartment for what ever reason? She choose him over her daughter.

We will probably never know the answers but I think your theory is right on. What a terrible shame!!

I've been researching the case and the circumstances, and one theory stood out to me. Casey's inmate/friend said in an interview (after the trial) that Casey told her she would drug Caylee with chloroform so she could go out and party, without having to worry about taking care of her or having her mother take care of her. Casey also said to the inmate that she was jealous of the relationship between Caylee and Cindy Anthony. So Casey wanted to be able to party, but didn't want her mother to have more one on one time with Caylee. Maybe Casey drugged Caylee one night and put duct tape over her mouth in order to keep her quiet if she happened to wake up. Casey later could have found that Caylee had accidentally overdosed on the chloroform and had died. Casey could have freaked out and covered this up. It's just a theory. Either way, Casey should have been at least charged with child neglect.
