Amanda had to switch schools many times because of how bad she had gotten bullied. She never had anyone their to help her , her friends betrayed her because of her mistakes. When we all know that everyone makes mistakes. And Im proud to say that I do to. Maybe if some people werent so selffish and cruel she would still be alive to this day , Maybe if someone took their time and went to talk to her they would realise that she made a mistake, And that she would probally take it back if she could . After she drank bleach and tried to kill herself people kept harrasing this girl. She didn't deserve and I hope that all these people that Bullied her feel bad about this, Because they just ended another life that day , that should still be here . R.I.P Amanda Todd <3
There is no reason I can give that bullies attack one person and not another. However, there are things you can do to help yourself. First, remember that you can never change anyone's actions, you can only change your reactions. This means you can either succumb to the bullying and let yourself believe what they say or you can see yourself for who you are; a wonderful, vibrant, intelligent, caring person. It's not easy, but remember that you define who you are, not others. Second, go talk to your school, your parents, your pastor (if you have one) and your friends. Talk to the bullies themselves. Let them know you won't let them continue with this. I don't advocate using violence, but talking about it, writing about it, documenting the bullying helps. Third, remember that school ends. I do recommend going to the "It Gets Better Project" and watching some of the videos. It does get better. Promise.
She was in a webcam chat group to meet up with new and old people.
They started calling her Beautiful, Stunning, cute, Etc.
And then they asked her to flash her boobs...
So she did.....
Thinking it was nothing...
A year went by and some guy she did not know, messaged her saying ”Give me a 'show' or I will send your boobs.”
She ignored it.....
Christmas Break came and a knock came on her door at 4 AM.
It was the police...
That person sent the picture to EVERYONE.
Everyone judged her.
Bullied her.
From ONE MISTAKE.
She ended up switching schools.
That person found out her school, friends, address once again and sent them there too.
She had no one.
Everyone hated her.
She ended up switching towns.
Then at this new school....She met this boy who she thought liked her.
But he had a girlfriend.
He asked Amanda to meet him at his house.
She met him, and they hooked up and had sex.
He never spoke to her again after that.
All he wanted was her body.
One day she got a note saying you better leave school.
She didn't.
A group of boys and girls including that boy, the girlfriend and more came up to her while the school surrounded her.
The girl said “Look around, No one likes you.”
One kid from the group said “JUST PUNCH HER ALREADY!” So she did, and Amanda got beat really bad.
And was left on the ground.
Alone.
And her dad ended up finding her in a ditch hours later.
She went home and drank bleach, to try to kill herself.
It didn't work.
The next day all over her Facebook page was written
“Drink some more bleach",
"No one cares",
"I hope she dies, "No one would cry", "Everyone hates you", "Amanda try it again we dare you"…and so much more.
She cried every night. Why did everyone hate her.
One mistake.
One.
She started cutting so much and did drugs, and drank alcohol.
She ended up trying to kill herself again.
She failed.
She couldnt take it anymore.
At the end of the video it said ”I am Amanda Todd. I just need someone.”
October 10th she hung herself.
This story is heart breaking for me as well. I was bullied well over 4 years, and I starved myself because they called me "fat". I really wanted to die. R.I.P Amanda Todd. I didn't know her, but I really wish I did. She was so beautiful too. But I heard there's a new bullying law that's going to be in affect soon for Canada. Hopefully Amanda will be the last teenager who commits suicide over bullying. R.I.P!
I understand your interest as to why. But this is gonna open a whole can of worms. You might get alot of crazy rude answers. But in short she made a terrible naive mistake and was exposed and tortured for it. She took the harassment for a long time and in the end she couldnt bear it.
