(1) History repeats itself all the time because no one keeps up with history or wants to hear the lessons learned. So, the same horrors happen all over again. (2) This tragedy is one of outrageous heinous crimes. it's one that needs to be remembered more so than most. That's why it's at the forefront and people try to keep reminding us of the horrific price paid by the disabled and Jews by Nazis actions. (3) Effort to never let a society get so neglected and ignored that we don't believe that it's that bad. America was shocked that it was actually that bad when the pictures and films were aired for all to see after the war. Survivors of the holocaust are still living. They can personally tell you of their experiences. When these survivors are gone; will it fade out like the "Trail of Tears"? Then, repeated later in another era.
1. the event which happened in germany pre-wwi which led to the disarmament of the jews.
a) laws passed that required everyone to register their guns/rifles (happening now)
b) laws passed illegalizing guns/rifles (trying to pass this)
c) law abiding jews turning in their weapons leaving them defenseless (yay! were almost there)
2. the event that happened to the jews capture and incarceration.
a) jews moved to the ghettos for easier management (bring in the suburbs!)
b) marking the jews for easier detection, also restricting movement from ghettos and general population, difficult to get jobs (roadblocks, obamacare chip implants?)
c) moving the jews to the concentration camps (fema)
3. the Jewish population WASN'T prepared and DIDN'T FIGHT BACK.
they were too lax believing that things wouldn't get 'as' bad, but did
they were too complacent with the laws even if they were unfair
they went along with the government, instead of rebelling, which they didn't
they also made the people envious of their wealth instead of keeping their wealth on the down low
but all of this dosen't explain why, why the war, why the movement of all these people.
MONEY! the value of german currency had dropped considerably before the jews were round up.
the reason for war was to revive the economy, but history repeats it self.
does it matter, in the US the stage is being set for an event which will bring this home.
good luk u juden, we'll all need it...
Jewish people were not supported as they should have been by people across Europe, and there was a half hearted reaction to the State sponsored persecution of Jewish people. Whether you believe in 'gas chambers' or not, Jewish men women and children were victimised, brutalised and sent to detention camps if they resisted. Try reading 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. I have no idea how much of the Diary was written by little Anne, but it gives you an insight how Jewish people suffered back then.
Note, point taken which is often made by German Soldiers and Civil Servants, that the overwhelming majority of German people behaved honourably and honestly back then. Point also taken, that Germans were the victims of war crimes by Allied nations equal to what Jewish people suffered.
It's a warning to what can happen if ideology, corruption, greed and power get out of hand.
It happened during a turning point in modern times, WWII with the Allied Powers vs. the Axis Powers, probably the most studied war there is.
There are actual survivors of it who literally are marked with numbers on their arms from it.
Largest genocide in modern history over 6 million Jewish dead within 3 years.
The fact that Hitler got millions of his own people and others around the world to follow him in a short amount of time by dehumanizing his enemies through indoctrination, propaganda and brutality.
The Nazi mindset still exists today, they're just called "Neo-Nazi's" or "White Supremacists".
We should never forget it.
Which holocaust there has been many?
So It never happens again an who know it could be any-ones turn.
So we won't have a repeat of it, in honor of all who died during that period
I need at least three reasons "why we should remember the Holocaust"
