Why buying shares is not a get rich quick option, unless you are able to ?

As with Gas Electricity Water Railways and many other utility like companies, because your post is a utility, but it'll be like all the others, the price will go up, the service will go down, and the profits will go overseas.

If this country should ever find itself in the same position as Greece, "belly up" (and there's time yet) we'll have nothing left that is British state owned worth selling to help clear our debts, but it'll be worse than that, because we'll not get any German money, oh no, or anybody else's money for that matter, we'll be on our Jack Jones.

We don't own the Post Office..........when was the last time you had any dividends?

Privatisation is the only way to ensure these huge corporations become efficient and cost effective.......

The only reason the PO made any profit recently was because of all the massive price increases...........

Not only do I not own any part of the PO, I'm having to pay hugely more for the service.........

If you think that's a good deal then you are living in cloud cuckoo land!

The whole share purchasing con was part of the tory plan to turn relatively poor people into mini tories, like the selling off of council houses on the cheap, it was all part of the "Reaganomics" theory which Thatcher bought into big time, promoting the "trickle down" of wealth and the "free market economy" all of which was created by horrendously wealthy Americans and put forward by Ronald Reagan as the only way forward and wealth for all.

In America it lead to the housing and debt bubble which almost brought down the worlds economy in 2008, the scam was that it encouraged the least wealthy to buy into a dream which sent money into the more wealthy, who then ensured that it did not "trickle down" by rigging the markets and taking even bigger risks with Other People's Money...

Get rich quick situations always fall into the same category, along with casinos and lottery tickets.

that's why we are in trouble as a nation we have a lot of wealth but it's not for the benefit of the country we are poor the system is becoming vastly underfunded and as it breaks down the wealth

will move elsewhere the shopkeeper sold the shop now we are being crippled by the rent

buy millions of shares in the first place.

I fell for the Tell Sid campaign believing that shares only go up in price and i would be rich.

I found out that this is not the case.

I now know that it is the ownership and control of the company that is the issue.

so i get a vote but the big holders of shares decide how the company is run.

Also we all own the Postal service at the moment but the ownership will go to the fat cats in the city of london and anyone who can buy enough shares.

The profits will also go not to the government to spend on schools or hospitals or roads or to reinvest in Royal Mail but will go to the shareholders.

Privatisation is criminal and immoral.....
