Opening a can of worms!!!
I had this conversation with somebody a while ago, it is believed by many that there will be a world wide cataclysmic disaster. 'The end of the world as we know it.' We're suppose to see a catastrophic decline in the worldwide population.
I don't think any disaster prophesied will be an isolated incident.
i think that this population decline is already happening. Although its said that we are now at a world human population of 7 billion There are natural disasters that have occurred in the past few years - New Orleans (hurricane Katrina) The tsunami in Indonesia. The Japanese Earthquake. These are all a series of events that have no human causation and can't be stopped or prevented. So if we see more disasters they will be 'Act's of God'.
I don't think Many people will agree with me. But these disasters could lead to something more severe, there are volcano's on the bring of eruption around the world which could lead to a devastating chain reaction. we could have a meteor strike, a highly contagious disease spread around the globe or nuclear war. The future I don't think is written, But lets face it. We're quite capable of destroying ourselves - if not - mother nature will do it for us.
Opinions don't count. It's facts that count and the facts are that there is no reason to suspect that 21st December 2012 will be different from any other day. A collection of wackos, conspiracy theorists and frauds have come up with a bunch of idiotic predictions, none of which has any basis in science.
It's a date yet to come so I have no opinion about it! I am aware that there are those who believe it will be the end of the world, but, having lived with the threat of nuclear annihilation since the 60's, I take the view that every day is a bonus as there is no guarantee of a tomorrow.
I'm quite excited actually.Like Ronald my birthday is the 22nd and nothing is going to get in the way of my party.
I think it's a load of bollox,these doomsdays come and go like buses.
I don't pay any attention to all of these doomsday warnings, ain't a one been right yet and even if this one is right there ain't nothin I can do about it anyway. At least my damn ear will stop achin.
