I was no where near New York, but from what I can remember all flights in the country were grounded for a while. I think it was over a week. A lot of your major tv networks aired continuous footage and jumped back and forth between New York and Washington. I don't think any schools closed around where I live. People felt it would be better to keep moving on with life and not to let terrorists control the whole country.
I was in North Palm Beach,Florida and unless you needed to fly that day,it was business as usual.
Boss di planes!
It was very unsettling.
I was to young at the time to really know what happened, so I was just curious to know what it was like in New York and around the country. Did shows get canceled was it just news on all TV channels, was school canceled around the country, plane flights canceled if so for how long, did they have that alert system go off around the country. Also what did other counties think of this event such as the UK, Canada, etc.
