Although in this country someone is innocent until proven guilty... The following play on my mind. The police could have released Bridger on bail whilst continuing to investigate should they feel they do not have enough evidence. Or they could have charged him with a lesser crime than her murder, say perverting the cause of justice, therefore remanding him and still being able to question him with regards to her murder.... However the cps (who will not charge someone if they do not believe that they have in their possession enough evidence to gain a conviction) have charged him on multiple offences including her murder. It is an over dramatised movie stigma that you cannot charge someone for murder without a body. A combination of forensic tests, I am sure have left the police inno doubt that she has been killed. Ignoring that there will be evidence of their prior contact as they were known to each other... Us h gruesome things as the discovery of a large quantity of her blood could have been found, more than would be survivable. There are a huge amount of incredibly complex tests that can be performed.
I feel for the family and friends as it must be awful to not have her to home.
26 days & the police are STILL actively looking for April, today they are searching a disused quarry, a caravan site & used surveillance drones.
Police are also looking into new information regarding a nine-year-old boy, who was almost abducted by a man in a white van.

The police who were looking for her body say it might never be found if it was washed out to sea, but because there is no body we are not sure if she is alive or dead.
They are still looking for her. As she hasn't been found, and the hunt is continuing, there isn't anymore that they can say about it, especially as someone is in custody for her murder.
It was all on the news magazines newspapers then there's no news of her at all? Do they think shes dead and don't want to you know like tell the world as there all looking out for her?, because iv been reading newspapers and there's no sign of her anymore?
