Well, thank you, Mr. Obvious.
Al Qaida and other groups have been mad at the US for killing Bin Laden ever since we killed Bin Laden last year. Of course they hated us before we killed Bin Laden as well. I mean what did you think 9/11 was? Their idea of a friendly greeting card?!?
Today is no different. They still hate us. They still want to kill us. While our security forces (the real ones, that is, not the TSA goons) are our first line of defense, it is still up to each of us to be aware of our surroundings.
As for the airports, the TSA are merely overpaid actors in an ongoing farce called "Security Theater." It's merely to show the public that "they're doing something." Anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together will quickly realize that almost none of the "security measures" taken at the checkpoints actually do anything to improve the safety and security of the passengers or planes. If anything, they create enticing choke points that would easily allow someone to cause far more death, destruction, and chaos than simply blowing up a plane.
Oh and unlike that scene in Batman, implanting a bomb inside a person wouldn't be very effective. The body would end up absorbing most of the explosive force. All this would accomplish is turning the bomber into a giant water balloon filled with guts and blood.
The hijacking trick won't work anymore. It did in the past because mostly people survived if they didn't fight back. On 9/11, people didn't fight back and got killed. So from now on, people will assume that if they DON'T fight back, they will be killed. A dozen men can't control all the passengers and crew if they do fight.
This doesn't mean there can be no more airplane terrorism, of course. They can set off a bomb in a plane. But it won't be easy for them.
Frankly, it seems that Al Qaeda is only a fragment of what it was. Other groups will arise of course, because the conflicts are by no means settled.
I would guess that multiple smaller coordinated attacks will be more practical for future terrorism; but again, this takes a lot of work and it increases the chance of their getting caught first.
They probably will not strike a plane due to the tremendous security now in force. But they will try something else. Security services in the UK and USA seem to be uncovering potential terrorist operations quite often.
It's all a staged act by the u.s. government to increase world order, especially over u.s. citizens. Something tells me that something huge is coming our way. Having those tsa body scanners is actually a fail in itself because you can strap a gun by your side and it won't show up on the monitor. Osama bin laden was and is actually in cahoots with the government, their relationship goes far back into the 90, 80's or even longer.
Yea alright. It still feels good to know we got him doesn't it?!! There have been about 50 attempted attacks on America by muslim extremists since 9/11. All were foiled attacks thanks to Americans being more aware of terrorism, and our high security. It is MUCH Higher than on 9/11 2001. I believe we're safe. Any thing is possible, but this is one American who is going to live their life regardless of threats.
You are far more likely statistically speaking , being killed by a honey bee! RElax
Yeah, brilliant. DIRKA ! DIRKA ! We really need to bring our troops home and let these nuts off each other.
Pray for peace. Let us stop the violence in our communities.
Tell the terrorists you have nothing to do with anything.
"what are your thoughts?"
Move on with your life.
Today is the anniversary of osama bin ladens death and I just heard that terroists are finding new ways to bomb areas, by placing the bombs in them selves. They say that airports have extra security for this week but I really don't think they'd go after another plane. I'm just wondering what are your thoughts?
Thanks to the SEALS who did it.
