What are the pros of nuclear waste dumping?

I'm doing a report on nuclear waste but i can't find anything postive about them.?

if possible please provide links :)

The reason you can't find anything positive about nuclear waste is simply because there is nothing positive about it. It's one god-almighty headache for all governments with nuclear facilities. And exorbitantly expensive too. If you want links, then start with any good search engine. Just enter nuclear waste.

I am not sure what you mean by dumping, but I will still try to provide an answer. In the nuclear industry the "waste" that comes out of a nuclear reactor is termed Spent Nuclear Fuel. The industry tries to avoid calling it waste because it still retains most of its potential for producing energy. Spent nuclear fuel also contains important elements such as Ru, Rh, Pd, and Ag that could be extracted. If the United States were to decide to adopt reprocessing we could extract the valuable minerals out of the fuel and reuse the leftovers for additional energy, this would allow us to significantly reduce how much mining we have to do.

If by dumping you are talking about placing the spent fuel in a repository (like Yucca Mountain was supposed to be) then the primary benefit is that it is stored safely out of the way.

The pro would be that nuclear dumping will make global warming irrelevant along with our national debt. We'll all die from nuclear poisoning so we won't have to worry about long-term issues.

You might as well be writing a report about the positive aspects of curb-stomping newborn puppies.

I don't care what your teacher says, not everything has a "pro" and "con."

challenging aspect. browse using the search engines. that can help!
