MIYA: Your attitude is exactly the same as the people of New Orleans days before Katrina. The weather services give worst case scenerio predictions so that people will prepare for storms. Ignoring it is simply foolish.
I'm 38 and I'm about a half hours drive from NYC in NJ. Don't worry we'll be ok. The only thing that I'm worried about is the power going out. That would suck!!
me too!! im 13 and i live in north nj near allentown and im super scared for tomorrow. but one thing ive noticed is that if you watch the weather channel its all bullsh*t. i was talking to my aunt today and she told me that the only hurricane that was really bad when she was a little girl. and the weathermen are saying "yeah this is the biggest storm ive covered in my career" im just like shut the f*ck up. its all lies that theyre saying, well, exaggerations.
stay safe!
Actually, you're too YOUNG to be scared.
Don't be scared, be PREPARED.
Most of all, stay off the roads unless it's an emergency.
I'm so scared! I'm 13 and a girl so I know I'm technically to old to be worried, but, idk I just am so scared! At first I thought that Hurricane Sandy would be no big deal, but then I heard New York City transportation was SHUT DOWN! that scares me. By the way, I live in the tri-state area (Pennsylvania, Deleware, and New Jersey) I'm kind of inland, about an 1.5 hour's drive to the shore, but still....hurricane warnings stretch all the way to Pittsburgh in PA!!! :'(
