Anyone would think Margaret Thatcher was a dictator like Saddam Hussein abusing the people.
We live in a democracy and Thatcher won three successive elections because of the majority will of the British people. She clearly had popular support for her policies including tackling the Trade Unions who were abusing their power and holding the country to ransom. If you wish to blame someone for any adverse effect of Thatchers policies on you personally, then blame the majority of the rest of the country who supported her. Just because you are in a minority does not mean Thatcher had it in for you. Don't forget that even after Thatcher left office, the Conservatives were re-elected - again by a majority of the country. Scargill has more to answer for in lost jobs than Thatcher.
Labour in contrast was not elected by a majority of the people, just gained office by having a majority in Parliament.

personally yes I do think her death should be celebrated Carol Thatcher is thick skinned and Intelligent enough to know that street parties were always going to happen
maggie did more criminal damage than any other politition in history to people who had Jobs lives and communities before she ruined it

We all used to say that a woman would be better has prime minister because she would not fight wars and would look after the poor and needy and not the rich and greedy, and would be better at running the economy.

I left school in 1983 when there was 3.5 million unemployed and I was only 1 of two people in my class who got a full time job the rest had to stay on at school or take youth opportunities training schemes

Do to online social networking sites , some people have been gathering in public places to 'celebrate' the former British Prime Minister Maggie Thatcher's death wholly illegally whilst committing criminal damage along the way. I don't think this is the way to go.... to potentially get arrested for things that happened in the 1980's...just doesn't make sense at all. Would you personally take to the streets to do the same thing?
