Hmm well for me, i don't think no news is good news. I'd rather hear good news. This is because not hearing news doesn't mean that there aren't events worth reporting. We get so much news on tv, newspapers and by word of mouth, but it still doesn't include the majority of things taking place on a global scale. Even in towns where the crime rate isn't too high, people still hear bad news such as the individual or someone in the family being diagnosed with a deadly illness or news of death in a family. We can't escape bad news. However, the Bible really teaches that there is good news! Psalm 37:10,11,29 shows the good news that our Creator, Jehovah God will rid the earth of wicked people and their wicked acts, the earth will be filled with righteous people who seek to please God and they will live in an abundance of peace. Verse 29 points out that those who do what is right will live forever in peace.
Revelation 21:4 shows good news that God will remove tears, mourning, pain and even death! In fact, God promises to undo what as already taken place. For example, in John 5:28,29 God promises that he will bring back to life, those who have died. There will be an end to sickness (Isaiah 33:24). In the scriptures we are told of how we can benefit from all of this in John 17:3 which says that taking in knowledge of God and the one he sent forth, Jesus will lead to our gaining everlasting life. For the most part, no news is good news. I am old. I want calm, peaceful, quiet, dull, and boring. Oh, I know to someone forty years younger, this sounds like a prison sentence. But, when you are old, the old ticker just can't handle very much excitement. And, I SURE don't want any news from my cardiologist.
99 out of 100 times for me, no news is good news.

News may not be good news, but it's interesting to me...if it's true. Today, it's difficult to sort fact from fiction. That makes it bad news for me.
