Not at all, Islamic State have been blowing-up mosques full of other Muslims - the Sunni's and the Shia's are at each others' throats like, well like Sonny Bono and Cher were, after they parted (OOhh, see what I did there? How witty!) - none of this really comes as a suprise after seeing Christians in Northern Ireland - Catholics and Protestants kicking the be-jeezuz out of one another for decades, since the 1920's, with shootings, beatings and bombings - all over the slightly-different flavour of Christ that they taste when they pray.

Without religion no confusion of wars would occur. there is always going to be religion, but if there is only one then others would rebel. Most likely. People use all kinds of reasons to behave like asshats to each other. Religion, race, ethnicity, political beliefs, gender, sexuality. The list could go on. If religion wasn't the big difference, people would just use some other excuse.
