A hard question to answer. Their issues with personal liberty remain. While churches are being rebuilt and Christianity is very much on the rise, they still have lingering issues involving the corruption in their system. When a people spend decades under the tyranny of a system that burns churches and executes people of faith as a common practice it takes time to recover.
The separation of church and state in the US has worked to keep strong churches thriving. Having a church that exists with protections from the will of the state is something very needed in Russia at the moment. They need to revamp laws to remove the corruption of politics from their churches.
I would say they have been teaching American Christians great lessons in resolve under the worst conditions. These people endure greatly for the faith. God loves Russian Christians as much as He loves American and Canadian Christians. We are equal in His eyes.
More Christian? Hmm I would say that Christian in Countries that are harder on Christians makes Christians better, The Strongest Christians I have seen are in the persecuted Church in Countries Hostile to Christians.
I would say that Christians In Russia may be better than Those in the U.S.as they are not spoiled and rely on God more, U.S. Christians because of wealth and such tend to be susceptible to sin and temptations of various types, I think you might know what I am talking about.
