Dread serves no purpose other than to put you on edge and drain you of your energy that could be spent on better things, like your finals :) Just be alert and aware of your surroundings, but try not too focus too much on it or you'll wind up a paranoid and stressed out mess.
The world isn't going to end. There have been numerous times throughout history where mankind thought for certain the world as they knew it was over, and it never happened (obviously). NO ONE knows when the world will end, including the Mayans. Besides, people are stressing over something they don't understand. The Mayan calendar only represented the end of a CYCLE, or era, not the world itself.
That wouldn't surprise me at all. There will be a bunch of idiots that believe that either go on a killing spree or kill themselves. Lucky me though, for some reason I get the day off tomorrow.
It's normal to be worried tomorrow since in the news they say a lot of stupid people are doing crazy evil things and killing. Be safe. I rather stay home tomorr just incase because tomorr is going to be crazy.
I'm surprised we haven't heard about a rash of suicides by people who believe we're in for some disastrous, scary end of the planet.

Ya, a bunch of schools in my district are closed because people made fake threats and etc. But not my school of course.

Is it weird that I'm nervous about school tomorrow. Here, tomorrow is "the end of the world". But thats not what worries me. I'm worried about someone doing something reckless or dangerous at school because " the World is ending anyway". Since with what happened up in Connecticut and all im worried about copycats. And it's exam week. Studies show that shooting are more likely during end of semesters. That's why we aren't allowed to bring bags to school and we have armed deputies on campus during exams. Plus, on top of all that ppl think the world is ending! I hope no one does something stupid. Is anybody else worried about something along the lines of this?
