America is NOT 2013 years old, that is the amount of years 'after the birth of Jesus' or the Modern Era, if you want to be politically correct.
America is probably closer to 400 years old, NOWHERE near 2000.

I am not an American but I know her birthday is famously the 4th of July 1776.I can well remember her Bicentennial in 1976. So that makes her 237 years old. The number of states are 50.
The United States celebrates our independence on July 4th every year, starting from 1776.
2013 is the number of years since Jesus Christ was born, celebrate that.
