Does anyone send telegrams anymore?

It is interesting that you ask about the telegram. I recently seen a news report on TV (don't remember what network) that mentioned that the last telegram system would be shutting down this year in July.

Most countries have already stopped using the telegraph. India was one of the last countries to still have a telegraph network. It sent the final telegraph this month.

I am not sure if any other smaller countries still use the telegraph or not.

I am also not sure about Western Union. You could probably google search Western Union and see if the company still exists. If there is still information about how and where to send money, then people probably still use the service.

No one sends telegrams any more -- why would they, when we have phones and email? But you can still wire money. Sometimes that's more convenient than sending a check and safer than mailing cash.

Not telegrams, but I wired money the last time in 2006, or there abouts. Every once in a while I still send cards, and a little cash to my son through the mail, in an envelope lol. I always buy the ''USA Freedom stamps'' with the flag? I turn them upside down, to protest in my little way, against our government..and how our country is going down hill. Don't get me wrong, I love our flag, my fellow Americans, and America..just not the government! lol.

These are the stamps I use, and turn upside down on the envelopes:

No I don't think so.
