Do you think Zimmerman is guilty?

if so, why or why not?

A fair trial now is not possible.

The police messed up the initial report and the media has turned Zimmerman into either a killer or a misunderstood model citizen, depending on their political leanings.

In the end, a man is dead and we will never get closure

Yes he is absolutely guilty. This child was just walking through his neighborhood with a package of candy and an ice tea. I listened to the 911 call and Zimmerman said this kid looks suspicious and looks like he is high on drugs and up to no good. Huh ? He wasn't even close enough to see him that well. And the dispatcher told him to stop following him he continued to follow and had a gun with him. He was the aggressor . I think the child was trying to defend himself against this weirdo Zimmerman . It was absolutely unnecessary to kill this child.I believe from listening to the 911 tape this guy Zimmerman has some type of mental problem.

No. The media really screwed this up. More facts must be known, but as it stands:

Martin hopped a fence to get into the gated community after going out to a convenience store. This is trespassing. He is not the sweet young boy portrayed in the media. He is a graffiti tagging, bus driver punching, weed dealing, tattooed, gold toothed, suspended from school trouble-maker. None of this matters in the end though.

Martin was acting suspicious, who knows why? Although earlier, his backpack was found to have women's jewelry and a screwdriver. He said he got the jewelry "from a friend".

The neighborhood had had serious problems with burglary in the past. As Zimmerman tried to see what was up with Martin, Martin PULLED HIS HOOD up so as to avoid identification, and proceeded to walk away. This is suspicious.

At some point, Zimmerman was told by the 911 operator not to follow Martin. At some point, he did stop following him. It would be difficult to charge him with stalking, but it wouldn't be the worst thing.

AFTER he stopped following Martin, he returned to his car (or tried) where he was confronted by Martin, who sucker punched him to the ground, and began slamming Zimmerman's head into the ground. From there, Zimmerman defended himself with lethal force, his legally owned 9 mm.

Is there anybody who would not respond the same way while being assaulted in such a manner by somebody bigger and probably stronger than you?

He should have been detained, tested for drugs and alcohol, and charged with murder. The homicide detective who initially investigated did not believe Zimmerman's version of events and recommended the man be charged with murder. Nobody in the DA's office has given a clear reason why this did not happen.

He confronted the kid, brought a gun, and shot him.

It's simple enough. Concealed carry isn't so you can act like a big man, hunting down strangers in your hood.

they're always guilty

He deserves to be locked up!

idk

if so, why or why not?
