As for 'guns not killing people .. etc'. Probably one of the most idiotic arguments I've ever heard.
What the US needs to do is ban all automatic weapons. This will never happen as congress is controlled by Republicans who don't care if children get murdered providing they get re-elected. But even if they ban guns nothing will improve until their is a universal health system to help the remarkable number people in the US with mental health issues
Guns don't kill people. People kill people. I know, I know, it is an old and tired statement. However, think about it. If there are no bullets in a gun and the safety is on, then it is not going to kill anybody. Who puts the bullets in a gun and turns the safety off? A person does. If some gun owners were more responsible about owning guns then so many people would not be so against it and would stop using firearms as a scapegoat when violent events happen. There are a lot of irresponsible gun owners out there just as there are a lot of irresponsible drivers. Irresponsible drivers make the road a dangerous place and irresponsible gun owners make the world a dangerous place. However, automobiles do not kill people, people kill people. Guns should only be used for sport, police enforcement, or protection. For example, if an elderly person lives alone by themselves and a person tries to rob them, they can use the gun to shoot the robber (if they know how to use it properly) since they most likely cannot fistfight the robber. Likewise, if a woman was walking alone, at night and someone tries to rape her, if she has a gun handy in her purse, she can defend herself.

There are statistics to support both points of view, but there are more privately owned firearms in the US than cars. Even if, in truth, the numbers are similar, 243,023,485 cars vs approx 310,000,000 firearms, why not ban cars too? Bad drivers, bad shooters, bad doctors, etc. not their tools or equipment, do the killing.
People are driving more carefully.
I did not know that thank you. I don't believe it either.
Try posting a credible source.
So whats your point noob
In ten states (Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Virginia, & Washington) more people are killed by guns than by vehicles.
