Hijackings happened. The usual response was to get the plane to the ground and have a chat or send in the lads from Hereford. They had not considered it as a weapon.
people say 'yes', but did you know a hijacker went through security wearing a knife? This is because you could carry a 3-inch knife on a domestic flight in the USA, or something ridiculous. I think that the risk of them being rumbled in the UK was much higher than in the US.

watch channel 4 next week, they have a special about the plot to hack down Britain's planes out of the sky. such an attack would make impossible islamic continuance in Britain, they don't seem to get that.. Yes ....no one in their right mind would have expected 9/11 to happen, I for one watched it all on tv as the second plane hit and just could not believe my eyes it looked like a bad dream!
