9/11 was the catalyst of change. We went to war over 9/11. Homeland Security was developed over 9/11. Airport policies were changed due to 9/11. But your question asks what changed America for the worst. 9/11 made us more patriotic as we sung God Bless America/Star Spangled Banner afterwards. We even displayed our flags more right ater that.
Columbine was terrible too, in that copycats surfaced over the years. Nowadays we can't go to school, the movies, or work (think Oklahoma City) without fearing some home-grown terrorist is lurking around.
9/11 had the worst impact on america, counting the buildings, the planes that hit the towers, the plane that hit the pentagon, and the one that tried to take out the white house, people jumping to their deaths from the towers before the collapse it's a huge number. Terrorists are still out there and there is no way to predict if they will strike america again or where, I hope that doesn't happen. Columbine was tragic too, although all schools should be equipped with tighter security to eliminate fatalities such as metal detectors, campus police etc. When I was a kid I remember child predators camped out by a school to lure kids in there car with candy etc even though that happened once that I witnessed it just goes to show that anything bad can happen. The only thing I see in america is once something bad happens then laws change and security changes like airports after 9/11.
its all devastating to America and whether one dies or a million to their loved ones it is the most enormous tragedy
colomibe massacre-17 dead $1000 in damage ....i.e walls and lockers etc
9/11-3000 dead $5 billion in damage i.e missing to buldings missing streets ...etc
the match speaks for itself
Both of these events were devastating on America, innocent people died because of psychopaths but which one changed America for the worst. Which even was more devastating.
