Can someone help me with this random note I received?

Sounds like it's not meant for you, posted in error.

I am sure whomever wrote the message thought they had a rational reason for doing so.

It is strange, and if you receive Any more, I would contact the police and ask them what to do.

It may just be a harmless prank/or case of mistaken identity, but it would bother me as well if it continues.

I see you live in London (you didnt tell me) Its so hard to think how I would be able guess what it was when you cant yourself.? Of course if it really bothers you then you should pass it onto the police.

It could not be some kind of an advert could it? Have you neighbours ? See if they have got the same. There is nothing you can do except keep your doors locked.

how can you report it to the police when there appears to be no crime committed? They'll really love you if you go to them to report a non-crime. It could only be a crime if it became excessive in some way, at the moment it is not enough to be stalking or harassment.

At a guess it is some daft marketing stunt, or otherwise it is some random note that got stuck to your post, or it is some daft joke.

You have three choices here - either bin it for the rubbish it obviously is, or keep it and see if you get another and then take them to the police, or take it straight to the police now. Which is exactly what I'd do, especially if I lived alone!!

Probably placed there accidently. Don't read any more into the meaning, there is no meaning for you....maybe meant for someone else

I would just ignore it.

I received something very strange in my post box this afternoon.

Amongst my usual letters and pizza leaflets, there was a single, yellow, Post-It note.

On it, there was a hand-written message which read as below:

"Your Mother awaits you to return the poodle you lost as a child

Bye"

Does anyone know what this could possibly mean??

Is this some sort of new meme?

I'm 28 years old, I live alone and my mother is in Japan. I never had a poodle.

If it's some sort of a prank, who would take time to hand-write such note and put it in my letterbox? And why??

I'm not an expert but it looks like an adult female writing, written with a biro.

I am creeped out by this!! Can someone think of a rational reason behind this note?
