I am Canadian, and I was working at a school on that terrible day. Our whole school stopped to pray for America. It may be with the person asking the question, is not American. and we should be polite in our response. Many of us know that 9=September, 11=day but since the year is not in the designation, it can be confusing for some. 91101 might have been easier for the person to understand, but remember, not all countries show the date the way we do. European =DD.MM.YYYY Japan= YYYY-MM-DD
