Zimmerman had a gun. Trayvon had a can of tea and bag of skittles candy
Zimmerman was a neighbor hood watch leader, he called 911 and told them they had a lot of break in in the area the 911 operated told zimmerman not to follow him but he did anyway and he confronted the teenager and shot him and told the police it was self defense because the teen attacked him and banged his head on the concrete and broke his nose.
The 911 tapes from everyone who called in the shooting, does not support zimmermans claim this was self defense because forensics have stated the teen was the one screaming for help on the 911 tapes and the surveillance camera at police station shows zimmerman being walked into the police station handcuffed the night of the shooting and it shows no support to his claims over his injuries, he stated he had a gash on the back of his head but the tape reveals no injuries to his head.
America is screaming for justice for this kid and does not understand how this man is walking free to kill again. there have been protests and riots over this case and most of the media is doing a story on this including some day time talk shows.
The big problem here is we really don't know much about what happened that evening.
What we know for sure:
* Trayvon Martin was walking back to his father's house in a gated community one evening in the rain.
* Zimmerman spotted him while in his car and called 911 to report a suspicious person. Zimmerman also told the 911 operator he was going to follow the person, to which the operator replied "We don't need you to do that."
* Zimmerman claims to be part of his local Neighborhood Watch, which very explicitly states several times in the manual that participants are NEVER to confront a suspect. They are merely to call the cops and help direct them to the suspect. That's it.
* Neighbors inside their houses heard a scuffle going on outside between 2 men, and called 911. On their 911 tapes we hear someone screaming for help in the background, and then a gunshot.
* The cops show up, find Trayvon dead with a single gunshot to the chest (in the front). He was not armed, and was only carrying a bag of Skittles and a can of Iced Tea.
* The cops interview Zimmerman and the neighbors who made the 911 calls. At this point the cops decide that Zimmerman's claim of Self Defense was good enough, and conclude their investigation.
* Although Zimmerman does go down to the station, he's quickly released, and the case is considered closed by the cops.
That was over a month ago.
The Martin family has been screaming for a proper investigation and hearing into what happened to their son. The cops have refused, claiming the case is closed.
Roughly 3 weeks after the shooting, news about the case hits the national scene, sparking an immediate outcry from people (of all races) across the nation about the case, and calling for the arrest of Zimmerman. The FBI is ordered to launch their own, independent investigation into the shooting.
Shortly afterwards, the city council holds a vote of no-confidence for the police chief who temporarily stepped down.
The city prosecutor has also removed himself from this case.
The police still contend they have done nothing wrong despite growing questions about their initial report.
Zimmerman remains free, although has gone into hiding.
The police report indicated that Mr. Zimmerman was bleeding (I don't recall from where, I think the nose and the back of the head) in a way that suggested he had been attacked, presumably by Trayvon. I think that Trayvon was unarmed.
The boy was black-black and black he was 70 feet from his residence where his body was found with only one bullet hole in him, I think George Zimmerman must have shown great restraint by just shooting the kid just once.
If someone that I was following on a rainy night turned round and beat me until I was one head smash from being in diapers and having to have my brother feed me with a spoon for the rest of my life I would have emptied my gun at him.
The boy didn't have a gun he had an ice tea and candy and the shooter claimed self defense saying Trayvon attacked him but they don't think its true

i dont know a whole lot but doesnt the shooter have witnesses saying it was in self defense or something and didnt the kid have a gun this is just stuff i heard i really dont know all the details about it and if thats the case why are people marching and trying to get justice if thats what happened whats the point is there something else that makes him not look credible i dont know whats up here DO NOT ANSWER IF U DONT HAVE ANY INFO AND YOU ARE JUST SAYING CRAP THAT U ARE FIGURING IF U DO YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME
