Any structure would be subject to attack, try looking through journal articles or news databases some may be classified and others that were reported but ignored due to the lack of importantance to the media
I don't think it's ever been mentioned. It's highly doubtful that there was, though. They went for symbols of power in America: The WTC for our economy, Pentagon for military, and it is believed that the plane that crashed in Shanksville was headed for the Capitol Building or the White House, which symbolizes government. I don't think there's any other target worth attacking.
wtc7 was built during the height of the cold war with russia to modern skyscraper code. it was also built over a pre-existing electrical substation that provided electricity to the island of mannhattan and as such was built to withstand multiple bomb impacts incase russia decided to bomb manhattan...with bombs.

I think almost all of us remember the horrific events that happened on September 11th, 2001. We all know about the four planes that were hijacked three of them hitting their target and one having been thwarted by the passengers themselves. What I was curious about is were there other hijackings planned by Al-Qaida that were thwarted when the planes were grounded by the FAA? Anybody know?
