You feel invincible and above the law.
This group of riders was just looking for what they consider fun.
With little or no regard for the family inside the SUV.
If some guy in a SUV nearly kills one of your friends/family, you'd be angry too.
Everything would have worked out fine until the guy in the SUV ran over another human being (imagine if it has been a 5 year-old bystander!). That only elevated emotions. Fortunately, some of the motorcyclists pursued and apprehended the felon for police before he could get away. Where they went wrong was beating the fellow. But people get pretty emotional when their loved ones are hurt.
Sentencing for Felony Hit and Run:
A fifth degree felony offense carries a prison term of 6 to 12 months, with a $2,500 fine. The driver will also have his driver’s license suspended for a term of six months to 3 years.
I don't think they targeted the SUV. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the group decided to "have a little fun" with him.

Why was the SUV in the news recently even picked on having the tires slashed? Why was the motorcycles slashing the tires? This of course caused the driver to run over the guy. But WHY was the car targeted?
