All that ended around 1990 with the demise of the Soviet Union who was the only real enemy the west had,or the only one powerfull enough to cause us any problems. The world had the "cold war" between about 1949 and 1990. It never turned hot although there were a couple of near misses. The cuban crisis of 1962 was perhaps the most dangerous.
First, what would be the point? If a nuke goes off nearby, you're toast.
Second, who is going to nuke us? The Cold War ended over 20 years ago. Even the nations that don't like us and want nukes, like N. Korea and Iran, don't have nukes, can't reach the US with their empty missiles, and are more likely to strike other nearby targets rather than trying to reach the continental US.
Because contrary to what those in the 1950's thought, getting under your desk and having duct tape on hand is not going to save you from a nuclear explosion; they have yet to invent something to protect someone from being completely vaporized into dust...
Nobody can run faster than a thermo nuclear blast lol, just stick your head between your legs and kiss your a s s goodbye
Because, quite frankly, if a nuclear bomb hit, there really isn't much you can do to save yourself.
Probally cuz the only threat is north korea and no one can take them serious lol
Because a nuke drill would stop the explosion
"OOOH GUYS WE'RE ALL GOING TO BE KILLED BY A NUCLEAR BOMB!!,.... QUICK UNDER YOU DESKS!!"
c'mon man.
No need.
WTF are you going to do against a nuke?
Because they would be much more fun than the fire drills lockdown drills and earthquake drills.
