By the way, Sears, Best Buy, Kmart, Amazon, etc just starting pre Back to School deals 2012 already.
It varies by state and even town. My kid starts back on 8/1 in Georgia, my cousin in new jersey doesn't start back until September! Best bet is to call your local store and ask.
