of Jews in the U.S., but many are in positions of influence and power. They hit well
above their weight. (No, that is not antisemitism. It is a true statement.) A number
of these men were part of the Bush/Cheney administration. They made sure that the
president was sympathetic to the needs of Israel. This placed the U.S. in the cross-
hairs of al Qaeda, which was dedicated to driving the Jews out of what had once been
Palestine.
It is safe to say that there would have been no attacks on the U.S, if the Israeli lobby
in Washington had not persuaded the administration and Congress to support Israel
financially and militarily.

On a completely different note, you may be aware that Christian crazies believe in
some foolishness called "the end times". Millions of American fundamentalists are
convinced that Christ will return, and a great final battle will take place. The Bible
tells them that the Jews must be back in control of the Holy Land in order for that
to happen. This helps to explain why the "born again" crowd favors Israel over
its Muslim opponents, and supports Washington siding with Israel against the
Palestinians. That is all nonsense, of course. There are going to be no "end times".
Still, the evangelistic crowd are certain that they are on their way.

It was a case where the lead psychopath talked some nut cases into committing suicide and killing many innocent people in the process. This psychopathic leader convinced them that they would have a very rewarding after life. What a salesman.
