The ever increasing number of people/families that are becoming more and more dependent on the government to support them. One of the fastest growing 'demographics' of people receiving monetary assistance from the government are those that have been placed on 'disability.' The large percentage of them aren't disabled. Instead, they have either expended their eligibility of unemployment benefits and or they are drawing on both because they have given up looking for work.
teen pregnancies along with youth behaviors. on american tv, kids watch things like family guy and south park. very immoral stuff and that's where kids think it's cool or okay to be like that
look at how the americans handled katrina compared to how the japanese handled their tsunami/earthquake.. yep. now watch anime, and see the moral differences.. it's a big problem, the mentality of people today in america.
the economy? i guess. job leaving the us, almost everything made outside the US. I am in the US and I can't remember the last thing that said "made in america/US"

economics, dis-honest banks, no respect for one another, love has grown cold, No jobs, hope is failing and most of all Falling God.
Unemployment is a big issue
I'm writing a story for English that's supposed to emulate a chapter from John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath. Except that it's based in the present day.
So, what are some huge issues that people are facing in the U.S.?
The essay needs to be 4-5 pages and just f.y.i. I'm liberal so I'd prefer not to write about conservative ideas, although I respect everyones opinion. :)
