You could try the more obvious ideas like bake sales or carwashes. You could also try working with a local school. Student governments, BETA clubs, and other clubs often hold fundraisers within schools to raise money, so if you could get connected with one of these groups, they might be able to help you out. I know of a girl whose family is looking to adopt a girl from China, but they don't have enough money, so the daughter made t-shirts, bracelets, scarves, and hair pieces and is selling them on her own website to make some extra money, so you might be able to do something like that. You might want to get together a group of people who could promote your cause like friends and family. I heard about the girl through a friend of mine who knows the girl and who has sent out multiple emails, Twitter/Facebook posts, etc. promoting the girl's website and cause. You could also seek help from local churches or Christian organizations. Many cities have women's clubs or groups that often work with things like this and that might be able to help you out too.

Call the newspapers, get a hold of someone (anyone) in the news media. If people know a sick child needs help from anywhere in the world, they will donate. They would probably pay for the plane ticket, place for the family to stay, hospital bills etc.

There are a lot of way to raise money, however, I would first use your church if you belong, if not go to them and simply ask if they have a donation. You could have, your local News Broadcast the story and giv details where to donate too. Plus bake sales, Church bazaars, whole lot of ways. Hope it helps. Have a big flea market sale in a parking lot. Let people donate all kinds of items they don't want or need. You could set up in some place along side a busy road.

Heya I'm in urgent need of loads of fundraising ideas. There is an extremely sick child in my area that needs to go over seas for special treatment and we are all trying to raise money to help her.
