I don't think we will. I think it's Boehner's plan to hold out as long as possible, then at the last minute back off so a (partial) solution can be passed. This way he can claim that the Republicans "saved" the nation.
Sort of like a doctor allowing a patient to fall into cardiac arrest so he can be a "hero" when he resuscitates him.
