Themes for an 11yr olds birthday party?

My little sister is turning 11. She loves everything girls. Swimming, spas, volleyball, dance, makeup and stuff like that. What are some themes for her birthday party!?

Spa Party

When picking the colors for your invites, try pastel or light colors. Great choices are light blue, pink, purple, gold, silver, or white. When you make your invitations, be sure to tell each girl to bring a robe, flip-flops, headbands, a mirror, and a washcloth.

When making the spa mood cover chair or tables with old sheets or go to your local sewing store and buy a yard or two of pastel fabric. Also white holiday lights or candle make a great mood. Go to your local library and rent a spa CD. Ocean and forest songs work best.

Prepare healthy snacks for your guests put fruits in clear plastic or glass bowls. For drinks sparkling water, fruit juice, or Sprite look great is clear glasses with colorful straws. Take an ice cube tray and put small slices or strawberries, lemon, or lime into it. Cover with water and freeze for a great fruity ice cube.

Put out a tray of clear nail polish, glitter, paper towels, nail files and any thing else your guests might want.

Raid your fridge for 1 tablespoon of honey, 3 tablespoons of plain yogurt, a couple drops of lemon juice, and 2 cucumber slices all for each guest.

Make a goody bag for each guest. Great ideas include travel sized soaps or body lotion, a mini pedicure kit, a small bottle of nail polish, a nail brush, a small hairbrush, hair ties, nail files, and a thank you card.

Dance Party

Decide if you want a theme to your party, it doesn't have to be something to dress up to, but maybe you could give it a cool name and dress up theme.

Secure your music collection and make sure you have a way to play it on your sound system. Digital is the way to go, try iTunes or make your own mp3s from CDs.

Set up sound and lighting. Maybe rent some cheap equipment?

Set up decorations related to your theme and put a sign out on the street with the name of your party and light it.

Black plastic hung on the walls works great, to give the party a "club" feel. Be sure to leave holes for windows so they can be open when the dance floor gets too hot.

Have plenty of cold water and drinks available. When people are dancing they will get hot and you do not want people to become dehydrated. Also be sure to provide snacks with energy, like candy and pretzels.

Be sure to provide a place to cool off, relax and talk. Party goers won't be dancing the whole time and having a place to talk really makes a party enjoyable.

Neutral Party

If you don't want to set up anything big, you could always just go to the swimming pool, ice arena, cheap spa, etc.

I hope your sister has a great party! :)

Beach/Ocean Theme, Spa Party Theme, Jungle Theme, Mall Theme, Movies Theme, Country Fair Theme, Sports Theme (volleyball), Cowgirl theme, Night Out Theme

I think that just a play party with games and stuff for both sexes would be best. She is inviting boys to the party, right?

beach, mystic world, movies, dress up
