.
We had fans in the windows
.
And that did the job
.
On the real hot days of May we would be let out early to walk home if you lived under a mile away
.
You had to walk to school anyway
.
To days schools are made to make the kids punney and weak
.
Like the "Board Of Education" that if you did something wrong in class you would have to go out in the hall and get 1 - 3 swats and then you got to put your name on that board
.
Now those were the days when it was fun to do something wrong in class
.
Well, if I was a student who had to go to class for 6-8 hours a day when it's like 89-100+ degrees outside, I would like to think that I would want to be comfortable in those humid conditions. I'd rather have my body nice and cool while learning. Not hot, sweaty and sticky thanks to the schools not wanting air conditioners in the building.
I am tryingm but living in a hot country myself and having seen what happens to kids here when the electricty goes out at school I cannot see anything worth saying against them.
Yes, they are noisy and they can make people sleepy, but equally it is really hard to concentrate when sweat is rolling down you neck and driping onto the paper you are trying to write on.
When I was in School never had that luxury . Only open windows . Boys could not
wear shorts and girls could wear Short skirts in Jr. High and High School and keep cool.
NO! Because then you'd have to shut the doors and windows. You don't want to shut the doors and windows in a classroom of flatulent kids.
If a country or a city have air-conditioning in prisons, jails then our schools should be priority..
I suppose it depends if they are in hot places? They don't need them in the UK usually.
I'm having a really difficult time finding any related information (such as: numbers, cases, and etc). Especially the numbers part, hope any one could help me out a bit?Any ideas or infos?
