The 21st is not doomsday. Even the Mayans themselves wrote nothing about doomsday occurring on that day. Their calendar ends on that day because it's the end of their Great Cycle - like our Millennium.

So claiming Dec. 21 is dooms day is like claiming my Hello Kitty calendar predicts the world will end on Dec. 31 because that's the last page of the calendar.

One just cannot believe such things as this.The world really will end in 5 billion years when our Sun comes to the end of its life and implodes.Life on earth will become impossible then.

Sounds just like all the chaos and misinformation surrounding the year 2000. Highly doubt anything at all will happen except for a bunch of panic etc.

I see death as my "next big adventure."

Yeah, the Mayans were so good at predicting the future that they made a calendar which outlasted their civilization by a few hundred years.

Ready or not doesn't matter---- if by some real out landish event, the whole world ends on any day -- it wouldn't matter much, if you were ready or not.
