mutually assured destruction..kind of puts the brakes on things. people with nuclear weapons may want a war but are in no hurry to die in one. The world will be a very dangerous place when the radicals who want to die have access to such weapons. That should be prevented at all costs. It is inevitable with the advancements in technology that some day manufacturing such a weapon will not be as difficult as it is today. I am glad I won't be alive when that day arrives.
Major events usually don't happen when people are expecting them to happen. Events happen usually by surprise. So, if everyone kept talking about WW3 all day long, it'll probably never happen.
Your parents are wrong and poorly educated.
The United Nations was created after World War Two to prevent any more world wars from happening.
It does this through deterrence - by having the legal right to call upon any or all of the UN's nearly 200 member countries for military assistance whenever necessary.
Because no country can take on the world and win (let alone survive the attempt) nobody has ever been stupid enough to try starting another world war.
After all, nobody starts a war they know they're guaranteed to lose. That's why nobody does, or ever will.
Even the USA - which bills itself as the world's sole remaining military superpower - has a military that's only designed to fight two enemies simultaneously; not 190+.
There won't ever be a Third World War no matter was drama queens, emo whiners, dumb@sses and nutjobs keep insisting.
That's just the truth of fact-based reality here in the real world where sane, educated people live.
Now you know, and can correct your parents accordingly.
I think,yes.
Naw.
No. I wouldn't even know who the sides would be.
No it won't happen
Ion know man, things seem to be calm as of late.
My parents were talking about, how, WW3 is going to happen soon. But they tend to be over dramatic with things sometimes. What do you guys think?
