No, OJ put a lot more planning in the execution and coverup of his crime. Zimmerman did not have the lengthy premeditation before he murdered Trayvon. He did intend to kill him but not in the same way that OJ targeted his victims.
Zimmerman is a better example of why people with a criminal history, albeit not severe in his case, should not have permits to carry guns because they have a pattern of immaturity, threats of violence, and poor anger control.

No he is not. GZ is mixed-race Hispanic. Nobody much heard of him until he shot TM in self defense and then was railroaded into a murder trial which, unlike the OJ murder trial, made the correct decision. I watched both trials, so I know. GZ should never have been charged. OJ should have been convicted.
