There is no Mayan prophecy about the world ending on December 21, 2012.
This was started by a bunch of failed prophets whose previous prophecies about the end of the world failed to come true.
While there's a non-zero chance of something catastrophic happening on that day, the chances are far better you'll be hit by a car crossing the street while holding the winning lottery ticket and then being struck by lightning.
With any luck, a bunch of gullible kids and ignorant adults will learn that when claims of doom are made of fringe websites and YouTube idiots whilst the vast majority of the world pays not the slightest attention, the vast majority is usually right. Those dim-witted adults who've wasted their money on doomsday bunkers will have learned a harsh lesson.
Winter will begin in the Northern Hemisphere... And the World will be celebrating the Holidays- including the Arrival of the New Year... :)
