Just try your best.
Don't rely on a single source for your news. Try to read articles about a topic from different points of view.
Look up words you don't know - build your vocabulary.
Try to do research on topics you don't understand.
For instance when reading an article about the Israel/Hamas conflict, some questions you may ask are:
Where are Israel and Gaza?
Who is Hamas, what are their goals?
What is the current cause of the conflict?
What is the history of Israel and Gaza?
Why is Israel such a sensitive and divisive topic?
What is the US' position on the conflict?
Do you agree with it or not?
Why? This is perhaps the most important question you need to ask yourself.
Stay in school and try as hard as you can for good grade's. Then go to collage. Never use drugs, avoid conflict and mind your own business. But understanding the news is many times impossible. Explain 9/11 ?
Research what u dont know! Watch everyday and itll all make sense. Dont be afraid to ask questions!
Spend at least an hour READING It- EVERY day... The LONGER You Do, the MORE you'll "know." And the BETTER You'll Understand it !! :)
