None.
It shows how quick the media is to publish false information the supports their schemes, and how quick idiots are to believe them. The one "assault" (Feinstein definition) weapon recovered was locked in the trunk of the suspect's automobile.
Yet people care so little for the truth, that they are willing to violate the supreme laws of the land on the basis of an emotional response to what is an unusual incident. Use the tools the government uses when selling an idea, think about these horrible things in terms of percentages.
Then compare to the number of people killed by the medical profession each year (0.6% of the population).
No Feinstein-assault weapons were used.
Also, the schools did not carry out the mandated safety drills and training that was supposed tp help in the sort of situation that they had.
Also, the taxpayers in Sandy Hook were too cheap to pay for an effective fence to keep creeps away from the kids.

It depends on which definition you choose.
Merriam Webster says an assault weapon is "any of various automatic or semiautomatic firearms". By this definition, all 3 guns (a rifle and 2 handguns) could be "assault weapons," because all 3 were semiautomatic.
According to Wordnik, com, only the rifle would count as possibly an assault weapon using its 3rd definition, "A semi-automatic firearm that resembles a military weapon." This definition would exclude guns with the same capabilities that don't "resemble" military weapons.
There is no technical or exclusive definition of "assault weapon."
Here's the list of weapons recovered by the Connecticut State Police:

One assault rifle was used.
It was a Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle which looks like this:

Contrary to what conspiracy nuts claim, a combat shotgun was found in Lanza's car.
From a distance (i.e.: news helicopter footage) it closely resembles like an assault rifle:

According to CNN, one "assault-type" weapon was "the primary weapon used" that is " usually capable of firing a rate of 45 rounds per minute in semiautomatic mode."
Edited for grammar and spelling.
The shooter has an arsenal of weapons in the car he drove, but only one assault weapon was used.
one assault weapon, BUT, the damage 1 bullet can do to a lil 6 yr old body is sickening
BTW, mother is totally at fault for taking "disturbed" child to gun range........if u know kid has problems, take him to the zoo instead or fingerpaint for gods sake
Us British are not obsessed with the subject of firearms like you yanks, but didn't Adam Lanza use something like that. Why was his Mother allowed to keep in her house with AMMO and not locked up.Its amazing.
0, he left the rifle in his truck
Does being a victim make you an expert or does it tend to distort your objectivity?
The victims are dead, they can't be experts.
zero, it was left in the car. It was all done with hand guns.
Apparently one was used, which is one too many.
