A flash flood is s sudden flood caused by extremely heavy rainfall. The area covered by a flash flood is generally quite limited, but it comes on fast. It goes down pretty fast too, usually.
So first, you have to consider where your home is. If it is on high ground, you should not have much to worry about it. The water will run downhill, and you won't be flooded.
If you are in a low spot, though, there is more risk.
They can't predict exactly where the flooding is going to be, because there are scattered thunderstorms and they don't know when or where one will drop a lot of water.
The storm could be upstream from you, and a flood of water could come downstream or down a gully or even a road.
If you are worried about your position, maybe you could spend the night somewhere on higher ground.
However, most likely nothing will happen to you.
Calm down! Make sure there is nothing outside unsecured that could blow around and cause damage. Make sure your car windows are closed. Make sure your home windows are closed so the rain doesn't come in. You should (if this is an electrical storm) turn off your computer. Make sure you have a flashlight or 2 with good batteries in case your power goes out. If you are in a low-lying area that could flood if the rains are severe enough you may want to look for shelter to ride out the storm. Stay calm.
Take two aspirin and call someone else in the morning...not me!
