You are bound to be insured ? I hope so ! Well claim it from your insurance.Yes it will put up your premium,you will have to be more careful next time.
I'm sure they're expecting your parent's to pay for it because there is no way a fifteen year old can pay for it when you don't have a job. What you should do is go to the owner/management and apologize for the accident, after all you are just learning how to drive. Then ask them if there is a way you can work there or help out to pay for the damages. Negotiate something so that you don't have to pay all that.
Don't worry, it isn't the end of the world. But you are allowed to be upset. It will get better in time.
If you're family reported the accident to their insurance agency, they'll take care of it. 1400 dollars for a damaged trashcan seems a little steep, unless it was gold plated. A claims adjuster would make sure they're not trying to cheat to you or your parents. When I was first learning to drive I did a really good job, right up till I ran down someone's mailbox. Accidents happen, it'll be ok.
Trust me. When you are 15 things like this seem like a big deal. Yes, it sucks now...but when you are older you will look back and laugh. No one expects a 15 year old to have that amount of money. Trust me. It will all work out in the end. Wrecks and accidents happen all the time. This will pass.

So I'm 15 got my drivers permit in September and have been practicing with my dad just recently I was allowed to drive with my mom well yesterday I accidentally hit a trash can in front of a store it wasn't a fancy one one that was metal outer cover then a plastic can and fake concrete like sheets of paper well they didn't press charges but the people are trying to charge me 1400 and I don't have that money and I don't have a job my bday not till after Sumer so I can't get a job were trying to lower the price I just am not having a good week. I need some encouragement please I've gone through like a whole box of tissues and I just not sure what to do
